Despite rumors to the contrary, I’m neither a woman nor Vice President JD Vance. In reality, I’m a married father in my forties. I work in tech and hold heterodox opinions that mostly wouldn’t get me fired but might lose me friends. I’m loosely affiliated with the TPOT scene on twitter. My pseudonymous handle is homage to one of the all-time anonymous greats and a source of personal inspiration, the sadly departed Spotted Toad, may he rest in peace.

I’m a cat lover. I almost certainly have literal toxoplasmosis but definitely not the figurative kind.

I primarily write essays about culture and the places where it rubs against politics. I enjoy joking around from time to time. Please take me seriously but not literally.
